Professional Development through Collaboration

Next month, Kyoto JALT Chapter & Learner Development SIG One-day Meeting kick-starts the academic year in Japan on 8 April 2012 with well-known teacher-trainers, Ann Mayeda on “Strategies in Use: Young Learners and the Willingness to Communicate”, and Akiko Takagi on “Promoting Reflection for Professional Development”. Phil Brown will also lead a workshop on “Vocabulary Learning Strategies Empowerment”, the subject of his chapter in our recently published Innovating EFL Teaching in Asia.
